(Ages 4 & 5)
Squirrel Scouts is an exciting and inclusive program designed for children aged 4 & 5: helping your child to learn, grow, and have fun while making friends through engaging activities and play in a safe and supportive environment.
Squirrels only launched in 2021, so we don't have as many groups with a "Squirrel Drey" in Hackney or Tower Hamlets as we'd like — yet...
As a parent / carer, you have the opportunity to be part of this growing group of Scouts. We are actively working to expand this program to meet the demand and foster a sense of community among young children – so please contact your local group about getting involved!
What are Squirrel Scouts?
Squirrel Scouts provides a welcoming environment where children can explore, learn, and develop essential social skills. The program focuses on outdoor adventures, creativity, and teamwork, allowing children to engage in age-appropriate activities such as:
Nature Exploration: Encouraging a love for the outdoors through walks, wildlife observation, and environmental awareness.
Crafts and Games: Engaging children in hands-on projects that enhance creativity and coordination.
Teamwork and Friendship: Building connections with peers through collaborative activities that promote sharing and cooperation.
The Benefits.
Personal Development: Children gain confidence, learn new skills, and develop a sense of independence in a supportive environment.
Community Connection: Squirrel Scouts fosters relationships among families and builds a network of support within local communities.
Early Learning: The program aligns with early childhood development principles, helping children grow socially, emotionally, and physically.
