There are 5 Explorer Scout units meeting in Hackney and Tower Hamlets for young people aged 14 - 18:

• Dockers - E14 / Isle of Dogs

• Dragoons - N16 / Stoke Newington

• Endeavour - E14 / Limehouse

• Mustang - E3 / Old Ford, Bow

• Red Pandas - E8 / Hackney, Mare St

We also have members of a Young Leaders scheme where Explorers help out to run Scout Groups for younger members. (Also open to non-Explorers for their DofE service project) 

They organise their own programme with support and guidance from leaders, taking part in awards such as:

• • The Duke of Edinburgh's Scheme (Bronze, Silver & Gold);

  • The slightly harder Chief Scouts Award / Queen's Scout Award;

  • The Explorer Belt (which includes an international expedition and service project);

The units also regularly meet to take part in competitions / events such as Bowling, Go Karting, Escape Rooms, Sailing & Kayaking.

Explorer Scouts also take part in the Young Leaders scheme where they gain the skills to support the Beavers, Cubs & Scouts in the other groups in East London.
